In March this year, South African-based Caudwell Marine™ High Performance announced its involvement as an official engine partner for the 2011 UIM F1H20 Grand Prix series. Since then the company has fast tracked the programme to launch the technology in December 2010.
Mike Beachy Head, CEO of Caudwell Marine explains, “We completed the first test runs in a DAC designed two-seat press boat, powered by the patented Caudwell Mrine™ Axis-Drive petrol engine. These runs have already matched single-seater performance levls, despite the two-seater being 150kg heavier than the mono-seat equivalents.” |
